Chicago, IL – May 15, 2007 – The April 2007 Private Company Index (PCI) figure indicates that sales activity is in a slight decline for private companies, with 61% of the portfolio revealing that revenues were down from March. The Index number dropped 24 points (2.95%) for the month of April ending at 790. Based on the aggressive high at which the PCI started the year -- and subsequent growth in March -- more leveling of this kind is expected to take place.
